In regard to certification as a Woman Owned Small Business, I have hit a wall with the SBA website, WOSB.Certify.sba.gov. I have waited and tried and tried again... but when I click on "Claim the Business" it says, "No Match Found." VERY FRUSTRATING because I have the UEI, TIN, and bank account. I've reached out to SAM twice to trouble-shoot with the chat techs, who are trying to help, but they sent me to the SBA because "it must be on the SBA side, as my SAM registration is 'Active.'" I submitted a ticket to the SBA Help Desk, but they referred me to Apex Accelerators. I was able to get a typed letter from an organization listed as an Apex Accelerator (does a letter even help?), but they had NO CLUE about how to certify a WOSB on the SBA site. Their email states, "We don't have any knowledge about the SBA website, so we can't really help problem solve." Talk about the run-around! I ran out of steam, but this video has prompted me back into action! Sorry for the rant. SMH.

Do I need to have a business that is more generalized in order to go after contracts or can I still bid on contract under my insurance business whether it’s related to insurance type services or not this is one question that always gets looked over and not much explanation, any guidance would be appreciated. I get at least 10 emails daily from scammers with the usual sophisticated ploys promising to help me get contracts if my firm pays a consulting fee. I ignore all of them. I never engage unsolicited parties. 8 out of 10 are frauds.

Information Technology isn't really an option for small businesses. GWAC's have eliminated opportunities for small businesses to get work with the government. It is no longer the government buyers picking IT partners, it is the primes that win the GWAC opportunities and they do not work with small businesses the way they should. Correct me if I am wrong.
